These are good HTML validation tools to ensure your HTML is clean... clean HTML means better SEO (search engine optimization) and typically faster page loads.

http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator - CSS validator
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/249 - Firefox plugin

These tools will go through your web page or web site and check for broken HTML tags.

If you are using Drupal, you can install the HTML Purifier module to help clean up your web pages before they are rendered.
